The Process
Easy and Hassle Free
We have just released our 21/22 season subscriptions!! You can purchase a 6 bunch spring subscription, or an 8 bunch Summer/Autumn subscription right now in the shop. We also have dried flower bouquets available for purchase in the shop. This year we will be doing fresh farm posy's every Friday - whatever is abundant and in season, single variety available for farm pickup. Follow us on Instagram for each weeks flower highlight.
Also during the growing season we will have mixed farm bunches available at Roadies Cafe in Gloucester, and we hope to have a stall at the Gloucester Farmers Market the 2nd Saturday of every month from September through to April.
This year we will start up our "Pick your own" events, and "Yoga in the blooms". There'll be lovely food, drinks, farm tours and lots of flowers. Subscribe below to be kept up to date with event release dates.
If you would like flowers for gifting, events, or to have bespoke wedding flowers grown just for you please let us know. Maybe you want to host a bouquet bar at your business or hens or baby shower party, or you are a local florist looking for great seasonal blooms.
Subscribe to our email list to be kept up to date with farm news, new events, and availability of flowers. If you're a florist we can let you know what we have available and when.
Community Supported Agriculture Bouquet Subscriptions from Broula Farm Flowers
How will it work?
From around September – March you will get the first and best flowers I can grow and each season will feature different styles and types of flowers. We will have a limited number of subscriptions to ensure the highest quality.
You’ll be investing in our flower journey, and coming along with us for the ride! To say thank you for being supportive, flexible, and understanding , I am sure that along with your CSA Bouquet there will be some Broula Farm goodies – from honey, to pickles, to bread and produce – plus you get to follow and shape our future business. Hopefully at the end of the flower year around April, when the dahlias are in full bloom, we can have a garden party at our farm for our wonderful subscribers to say thanks for believing in us and to celebrate the amazing (hopefully!) growing season winding down.
So many of Australia’s cut flowers are imported – and they all have to be fumigated with chemicals on arrival. Even then the biosecurity risk to Australian agriculture is high. We will grow chemical free, local, seasonal and sustainable flowers to safely bring joy and happiness to our customers and ourselves.
What can I expect to get in my bouquets?
We should expect something of the following in the growing season:
Spring – Anemone, Ranunculus, Strawflowers, Cornflowers, Snapdragons, Stock, Larkspur and Sweet Peas (lots of sweet peas!)
Summer – Lisianthus, Wild carrot, Roses, Orlaya, Gladioli, Queen Anne’s Lace, Scabiosa, Strawflowers, Cornflowers, Mahogany Hibiscus, Basil, Amaranth, Sunflowers, Dill, fancy wheat and grasses.
Autumn – We should have Dahlias, Sunflowers, Yarrow, Zinnia, Rudbeckia, Basil, Gomphrena, Fancy grasses, more Strawflowers, Celosia, Feverfew, Stock…
I have a plan for the end of Autumn to put together an everlasting bouquet, as the final bouquet for the year, which you can enjoy for a week or so in the vase, and then hang to dry and keep it all the way through winter until spring 2022!
What else have you got planned?
Future plans include a native picking garden and bush tucker forest as well as (post-COVID) events and workshops at the farm – pick your own blooms, yoga in the flower field, and maybe even elopements (esp. when I finish my celebrant certificate!). Your “share” helps with all of these plans, so you’re not just buying bouquets – you’re investing in a small Australian family business and helping make dreams come true.
