How Broula Farm Flowers Was Born
Our History
At Broula Farm, we believe that there is nothing quite like the feeling of receiving a beautiful bunch of fresh locally grown flowers. We wanted to wrap up this feeling of joy, and hand it right to our customers. We grow chemical free, seasonal, local flowers as well as create products from the fruits, vegetables, and beehives we have here on our farm. We have a farmstay, and offer accommodation and small event spaces for hire.
We want you to take home a part of our life here on the farm. We are committed to creating a sustainable, regenerative farm experience so that we can leave this land better than we found it, and contribute to improving the environment and our community in the process. We have been using permaculture and regenerative agriculture techniques on our farm to grow our produce since we found this patch of paradise in 2016. We think of ourselves as stewards - not owners. The traditional custodians of this land are the Worimi clan, and they never ceded these lands and waters. We pay our respect to the generations of First Nations Peoples who came before us - whose ongoing relationship with the lands and waters of this place remains part of the culture and heritage here. Broula Farm believes that we can build respectful and socially conscious businesses and part of our purpose is to serve the community we are a part of. That includes finding ways to "Pay the Rent" to the Aboriginal people who were forcibly removed from these lands. We commit 10% of our profits to the local community we serve.
